Welcome to Erickson Counseling Services, Inc.

We Have Immediate Appointments Available:

Erickson Counseling Services, Inc. provides grief counseling, trauma therapy, and mental health support for adults and adolescents in Minnesota and Ohio. Located in Eagan, Minnesota, our clinic offers in-person therapy as well as secure online counseling (telehealth) for clients experiencing grief, trauma, depression, anxiety, and major life transitions. Through the National Counseling Compact, we are able to provide online therapy for residents of Ohio, making specialized grief and trauma counseling more accessible to people across both states.

We specialize in helping individuals and families navigate complicated grief, suicide loss, traumatic loss, and difficult life changes. Many of our clients come to us after the death of a loved one, but grief can also arise from divorce, family estrangement, illness, or major life transitions. Our goal is to provide a safe, thoughtful space where people can process painful experiences, rebuild meaning, and move forward with greater clarity and support.

Our Approach

At Erickson Counseling Services, Inc., we believe that good therapy happens when there is a meaningful connection between therapist and client. If it turns out that we are not the right fit, we are happy to help you find resources or referrals to a therapist who may better meet your needs.

Who We Work With

We work with adults and adolescents who are struggling with complicated grief, trauma, and loss. These experiences may arise from the death of a loved one, but grief can also stem from other life changes such as divorce, relocation, estrangement, or shifts within family systems.

We also work with individuals and families who have experienced particularly difficult losses, including suicide, homicide, accidental death, or situations where multiple deaths occur within a short period of time. These circumstances often make the natural grief process more complex and difficult to navigate alone.

No Surprises Act

Beginning January 1, 2022, federal law requires health care providers to give uninsured and self-pay patients a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges for services when scheduling care or when a patient requests an estimate.

This requirement is part of the No Surprises Act, enacted in December 2020. The law is designed to reduce unexpected medical bills by requiring providers to inform patients of anticipated costs before services are provided.
